The Skyscraper Museum’s current exhibition, The Invention of Park Avenue, explores the urban development of Park Avenue in the century since Grand Central Terminal opened in 1913. The blocks from 42nd to 53rd street transformed from railyard to one of the most desirable and prestigious corridors of modern midtown.
Join Carol Willis, founding director and exhibit curator, as she traces changes along the avenue, driven by the links between rail and real estate.
