Now, 25 restaurants and James Beard Awards later, his Union Square Hospitality Group continues to innovate and grow. Their latest: North End Grill, Blue Smoke and Shake Shack, all in Battery Park City. Meyer, along with Kenny Callaghan, executive chef of Blue Smoke and Jazz Standard, and Floyd Cardoz, executive chef of North End Grill, talks about the risks and rewards of planting new roots in the downtown restaurant scene.
