UCHRONIA: A Film Reading

Description:  In this performance, German-Iranian filmmaker Azin Feizabadi will read from the script of UCHRONIA, his forthcoming feature, while screening selected scenes, sounds, and passages from the film. A contemporary interpretation of the ancient middle eastern love saga of Layla & Majnun, UCHRONIA depicts two disembodied, Dark Matter aliens emigrating from the furthest parts of the universe to planet 52°N,13°E: Berlin in Germany. Earth offers the opportunity to incarnate into human bodies, dangling the promise of finally realizing the union they have traveled so far to achieve.

This program is presented in partnership with Microscope Gallery in conjunction with the exhibition Fellow Travelers at apexart.
