United Neighborhood Houses Annual Benefit: New Yorkers Who Make a Difference

On Monday, October 22nd, more than 300 members of New York City’s philanthropic, business, education, and settlement house communities will join with United Neighborhood Houses (UNH) at the organization’s annual benefit to honor three extraordinary New Yorkers who make the city a better place to live. For nearly 100 years, UNH, the membership organization of 39 settlement houses and community centers, supports its members by advocating for budget and policy reforms, developing innovative practices, and customizing professional development to build the skills of the current and next generation of community leaders.

The event will be emceed by WABC News Anchor Michelle Charlesworth.

Honored at this year’s benefit will be Marc S. Dieli, Assurance Partner at Ernst & Young, and Treasurer on the United Neighborhood Houses Board of Directors; David Lebenstein, Executive Managing Director for the Non-Profit Advisory Group at Cushman & Wakefield; and Judith S. Harrison, Principal and Chief Executive Officer of Waypoint Partners, Inc.

The evening, which will take place at Tribeca Three-Sixty, will offer a reception with cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, music, and breathtaking, panoramic views of Manhattan.

Proceeds from the New Yorkers Who Make a Difference Benefit will support United Neighborhood Houses to strengthen neighborhoods by mobilizing settlement houses and their communities to advocate for policies, funding, and practices that help create a stronger, more vibrant New York City.
