This visual presentation delves behind the scenes to the research that led to Leah Price’s, professor of English at Harvard University new books. Unpacking My Library uses interviews and photographs to explore the bookshelves of 13 favorite novelists and the stories behind their lifetimes of reading and writing.  How to Do Things with Books in Victorian Britain traces the longer history of readers’ ambivalent relationships with the books that they read and own, buy or borrow, and hide or hoard, from the history of the coffee table book to the future of digital media.
