Urban Design Walking Tour of the Meatpacking District & West Village

On this walking tour, we’ll explore how the expansion and reinventions of New York’s urban landscape have affected city life throughout the centuries. By understanding both the theories and fascinating applications of urban design, you will have a greater understanding of the transformations New York continues to experience.

The walking tour will highlight the design history of the Meatpacking District, the West Village and Hudson River Park. Along the way, you will witness firsthand the ways in which the urban fabric is shaped by community groups, governments and individuals.
