Join Marie Warsh, Central Park Conservancy Historian, and Jakub Gaweda, Education Specialist for Walking Tours at the Tenement Museum, to discuss the origins of New York City’s public parks and the movement that created them. We’ll explore the relationship between large parks such as Central Park and smaller neighborhood parks such as Seward Park on the Lower East Side, and how these parks have been shaped by and served the needs of immigrants.
