Valentina Kozlova International Ballet Competition

Valentina Kozlova announces the 9th annual Kozlova International Ballet Competition, in which 100+ talented dancers from around the world, from Russia to Venezuela, come to New York to dance for awards that include company contracts and scholarships to dance academies around the world.  Kozlova, former principal dancer with the Bolshoi Ballet and New York City Ballet, once again gathers a distinguished jury, led by Andris Liepa, former principal with the Bolshoi Ballet and guest with New York City Ballet, American Ballet Theatre and the Royal Danish Ballet. The 15 member panel also includes Nikolai Tsiskaridze, former Bolshoi star and current Rector of the Vaganova Academy in St. Petersburg; Charles Jude, former etoile with the Paris Opera Ballet, and other judges from South Korea, Panama, the U.S., Latvia, Brazil, France, Mexico, Hungary and Austria.  One day will again be set aside for contemporary dancers and choreographers.
