Vertigo Dance Company

Contemporary dance company Vertigo is a messenger of Israeli Art at its best. Created by Noa Wertheim and Adi Sha’al, partners in life and dance, Vertigo takes the audience on a challenging journey into unfamiliar territories.

In this presentation, audiences see the extraordinary performance of The Birth of the Phoenix on a stage filled with earth in an open geodesic dome on the streets of Jerusalem. This work taps into concern for the state of the Earth and explores how our bodies and actions impact the ground around us. Wertheim also showcases the Vertigo Eco-Art Village, a Learning Center aimed at generating social change.

This program is presented by The National Arts Club under auspices of Office of Cultural Affairs, Consulate General of Israel in New York.
