Violinist Alexandra Alvarado Switala

Violinist Alexandra Alvarado Switala made her professional debut with the Fort Worth Symphony at age 13 and has since performed with orchestras such as the New World Symphony, the Cleveland Orchestra, and the New York Philharmonic. She studied under the tutelage of renowned performers and legendary teachers such as Pinchas Zukerman and Itzhak Perlman. Switala is also an avid chamber musician, having studied with members of the Orion, Mendelssohn, and Guarneri string quartets. She has been a featured artist on nationally syndicated media such as the PBS television show From the Top at Carnegie Hall, and the NPR radio show Performance Today.

This program is presented by The National Arts Club in partnership with the Sphinx Organization, as part of a series of classical concerts featuring outstanding young Black and Latinx musicians.
