Violinist Patricia Quintero Garcia

A native of Havana, Cuba, Patricia Quintero Garcia started playing the violin at age 8, eventually graduating from the Superior Institute of Arts in Havana and obtaining her Master’s degree in violin performance from the University of Southern Mississippi and Performance Diplomas from Indiana University School of Music. She has served as concertmaster at the Opera and Ballet Orchestras in Cuba, and has played in orchestras conducted by such renowned conductors as Claudio Abbado and Gustavo Dudamel. She founded the Havana String Quartet, and she joined the Vera Quartet in the Spring of 2016, and recently toured as part of the Sphinx Virtuosi.

This free online concert is present by The National Arts Club, in partnership with the Sphinx Organization, as part of a series of classical concerts featuring outstanding young Black and Latino musicians.
