Violinist Samuel Vargas Teixeira

Venezuelan-born Samuel Vargas Teixeira was named Concertmaster Ambassador of the United Nations and Yamaha Young Performing Artist (2019). His last decade of philanthropic work through violin pedagogy has been recognized by The Denver Post as “a powerful reflection of his art.” He holds numerous awards and has performed in 40 countries on international tours, collaborating with internationally-acclaimed artists like Gustavo Dudamel, Simon Rattle, Daniel Barenboim, Claudio Abbado, and Christian Vasquez.

This free online performance is presented by The National Arts Club, in partnership with the Sphinx Organization, as part of a series of classical concerts featuring outstanding young Black and Latino musicians.
