Virtual Vertigo LIVESTREAM

The Psychoanalytic Society will be screening Alfred Hitchcock’s Vertigo, a 1958 American film noir psychological thriller film. The story was based on the 1954 novel “D’entre les morts” (From Among the Dead) by Boileau-Narcejac.

There are two ways of approaching Vertigo. One is to see it as a male film on the side of the male view of women; the other is to see it as a satirical attack on the misogynist mindset. They are, in fact, two sides of the same interpretative coin.

In keeping with our previous movie screenings, we will follow the screening with a discussion of the film. Contact [email protected] for more information.
