Experts discuss a new report from The New York Women’s Foundation, Blueprint for Investing in Girls Age 0-8, part of its Voices from The Field series exploring how factors such as race, poverty and gender affect low-income NYC women over their lifespans. Age 0-8 is a critical stage of childhood development, a unified period of both extraordinary potential and extreme vulnerability when the role of caretakers is paramount.

Panelists include Dawn DeCosta, Principal of Thurgood Marshall Lower School; Chanda Hill, Assistant Executive Director of Program Services at SCO; Jocelyn Rodriguez, Director of Early Care and Education Institute at Committee for Hispanic Children and Families; and Reshmi Sengupta, Program Director of Sakhi for South Asian Women.

Soledad O’Brien, CEO of Starfish Media Group and Host of Matter of Fact with Soledad O’Brien, will moderate the event.
