The Way Under the Way: Poetry as a Gateway to the Miraculous with Mark Nepo

“Mark Nepo is a Great Soul. His resonant heart— his frank and astonishing voice—befriend us mightily on this mysterious trail.” —Naomi Shihab Nye, author of You and Yours

This evening we celebrate with beloved poet, spiritual teacher and storyteller Mark Nepo, the publication of his new book, The Way Under the Way, which gathers poems he had penned over the last twenty years. The central theme of these poems is an ongoing inquiry into the nature of the soul and the journey of being human. In this workshop and reading Mark will share his insights and guidance into how to move beyond the barrage of distractions and noise of contemporary life to find our unique expressive voice and tune into the place of true meeting that is always near, where we can rediscover our shared humanity and align with Spirit. Mark’s poems serve as aids in living, listening, and beholding each other, and he will share them tonight to help us touch into the miraculous depth of being  that is always just below whatever we carry.

Note: Please bring a journal.
