What Can the American Theater Learn from Stella Adler?

Master playwright Edward Albee, the winner of three Pulitzer Prizes for drama and two Tony Awards, including a Special Tony Award for Lifetime Achievement in 2005, will participate in a panel discussion as part of the final night of the 7th Annual Harold Clurman Festival of the Arts. The panel will also include the legendary actress Elaine Stritch, actress Kate Mulgrew, theater director Howard Shalwitz and Tom Oppenheim of the Stella Adler Studio of Acting. These theater luminaries will discuss “What Can the American Theater Learn from Stella Adler?,” inspired by the newly published collection of lectures, Stella Adler on America’s Master Playwrights: Eugene O’Neill, Clifford Odets, Tennessee Williams, Arthur Miller, Edward Albee, et al.
