Winds of Hope

Winds of Hope (formerly Flutes of Hope) debuted at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine in 2012. This music program was conceived as a tribute to the resilience and compassion of the Japanese people following the devastating earthquake, tsunami, and nuclear reactor calamity of March 2011, an unprecedented triple disaster. The music reaches out to the spirits of individuals lost in this and other global traumas, both natural and man-made, and honors the dignity and courage of those rebuilding their lives and their communities—blowing winds of hope.
