Workshop: Try Your Hand at Letterpress Printing

Learn about the history of printing in New York City and participate in a hands-on workshop using an early 19th-century portable printing press. Imagine you are a Hotel guest in the 1830s and create your own letterpress stationery to take home. In conjunction with Bowne and Company and The South Street Seaport Museum. Tour of the current exhibit, “Democracy in Print: Public Debate and The Rise of the Newspaper” is included. Reservations requested.
