With works of art from the Renaissance through the early 20th century, the Frick is known particularly for its focus on European sculpture and decorative arts, in addition Old Master paintings. While their historical buildings are closed for renovation, a selection of works can be seen at their temporary home on Madison Avenue. It’s a chance to see the works of art in juxtaposition to a Marcel Breuer-designed building from 1966, offering a new perspective on timeless work.
