Lois Dodd attended The Cooper Union from 1945-1948. In 1952, she was one of five artists to establish the Tanager Gallery, where she exhibited until 1962. From 1971 to 1992, Dodd taught at Brooklyn College, and is elected member of the American Academy of Arts and Letters and National Academy of Design. In 2012 – 2013 the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art organized a traveling retrospective of Dodd’s paintings. It was accompanied by the book Catching the Light. Lund Humphries published a monograph of her work in 2017.
Alexi Worth is a Brooklyn-based painter represented by DC Moore Gallery. He has written for Artforum, The New Yorker, ARTnews and numerous other publications, and is the recipient of awards from the Guggenheim and Louis Comfort Tiffany Foundations.Buy tickets/get more info now
