Brooklyn Symphony Orchestra

Brooklyn Symphony Orchestra presents Concerto for Double Bass by Giovanni Bottesini and Symphony #4 in D minor, Op. 120 by Robert Schumann. The concert focuses on the virtuosic writing for the double bass by Bottesini, who was considered “the Paganini of the contrabass,” and features Timothy Cobb, principal bassist of the New York Philharmonic, as soloist. Schumann’s exciting D minor symphony rounds out the afternoon of rich romantic music.

Advance tickets are $10 for Museum Members; $20 for non-Members; day-of tickets are $25 at the door. Tickets are available through the Brooklyn Symphony Orchestra.
