Ethics and the Theater – Skylight by David Hare

Play reading and discussion

(6:30 pm reception with light refreshments)

Ethics and the Theater will present a play reading of Skylight by David Hare

When Tom shows up at Kyra’s apartment in a down-and-out section of London, he does more than disrupt her plans for a peaceful dinner correcting homework. He rekindles feelings the two had for each other years before, when she was 18 and he, some twenty years older, was married to another woman. But his unexpected arrival also sparks a passionate, if acidly witty, debate about what drove them apart then and the chances of bridging their differences now.

The New York Society for Ethical Culture is a humanist community dedicated to ethical relationships, social justice, and environmental stewardship. Entry to our 100-year-old building and meeting rooms is wheelchair accessible. For events in our Auditorium and Social Hall, please call ahead (212-874-5210 x121) and plan to arrive one hour before start time.
