Heart Sutra Unlocked with Venerable Jigme Palmo

A teaching based on a commentary by the Tibetan lama Chone Drakpa Shedrup (1675-1748)

The Heart Sutra, one of the most popular prayers in Buddhism, contains a secret code that describes the entire path to enlightenment. This code is the very key that can unlock our continued cycling in the realm of suffering existence.

This commentary penetrates into the real meaning of the sutra, which describes how our very nature, including our bodies, minds, and identities are not what they appear to be. We will include meditations on the very nature of ultimate reality (emptiness) to discover where things come from and how they really exist.

The teacher is Ven. Jigme Palmo (Elly van der Pas), a fully-ordained nun for 25 years in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition. She has been working with Geshe Michael since 1995 as personal assistant and project manager, and is currently president of Asian Classics Institute and co-owner of Standing on the Sky Press.
