A Kaddish for Dabrowa Bialostocka + Reimagined: 45 Years of Jewish Art

Celebrate the publication of artist Mark Podwal’s book Reimagined: 45 Years of Jewish Art and the opening of A Kaddish for Dabrowa Bialostocka, an exhibition of archival pigment prints of 18 new works in acrylic and colored pencil inspired by Podwal’s recent visit to the shtetl in Poland where his mother was born. At one time 78% Jewish, Dabrowa is no longer home to a Jewish community. Podwal’s work focuses on Jewish legend, history and tradition. His work is in the collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Victoria and Albert Museum, Yad Vashem, the Israel Museum and the Bodleian Library.
