Lydia Johnson Dance

Choreographer Lydia Johnson, called “a craftsman and a poet” in The New Yorker, presents her Lydia Johnson Dance with guest Stephen Hanna, former principal dancer with New York City Ballet and featured performer in Broadway’s An American in Paris, Billy Elliot, and other shows.   Johnson  will premiere “Undercurrent,” set to music by one of her favorite composers, Argentinean Henryk Gorecki, along with dances to music by Handel and Philip Glass.  At Ailey Citigroup Theater, 405 West 55 St. ( 9th Avenue).
