The New Yorker Festival: Kumail Nanjiani Talks with Emma Allen

Kumail Nanjiani most recently starred in the critically acclaimed film “The Big Sick,” which he co-wrote with his wife, Emily V. Gordon, and which is based on their relationship. He plays Dinesh on the Emmy Award-winning HBO series “Silicon Valley,” and has appeared on many television shows, including “Portlandia,” “Broad City,” “The Meltdown with Jonah and Kumail” (which he created and produced), and the Emmy Award-winning animated show “Adventure Time,” on which he voices the character of Prismo. “The Best Medicine,” Andrew Marantz’s story about him, appeared in the May 8, 2017, issue of The New Yorker.
