Ninth Annual Lillian Wald Symposium

You are invited to Henry Street Settlement’s 9th Annual Lillian Wald Symposium to take place at Abrons Arts Center’s Playhouse Theater, 466 Grand Street, on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, from 6 to 8 p.m.

The Lillian Wald Symposium—named for Henry Street’s founder—is a free event that brings people together to grapple with the most pressing issues of our times. This year, our speakers will be addressing all aspects of the recent increase of migrants and asylum seekers to NYC—speaking about topics such as shelter, work permits, and funding. Join us in a dialogue about the realities that migrants to New York City are facing and about our legal, practical, and ethical responsibilities in supporting our new neighbors.
