🧘🏼‍♀️A Trip into Fungus, Psychedelics, Spirituality, and Culture By Niv

We will hold an open discussion on the meaning of spirituality, the way psychedelics can support a spiritual practice, and give an overview of how fungi were used in spiritual practices throughout the world.

About Sara Marie Ruiz who is doing our Mushroom Cooking Demo

I am a Brooklyn native with maternal roots in Vieques, Puerto Rico, steadily pursuing my goal of owning land to cultivate community. Through continuous effort and exposure, I aim to grow foods reflecting my Taino heritage while preserving the integrity of North American heritage landscapes. I cook, plant, reap, and repeat, striving to maintain connection with my roots and nourish my community.

About Mycodelights

MycoDelights will be serving Spicy Porcini Smores, a savory twist on a campfire classic that is sure to put a smile on your face.

Eric Sherman has been cooking and distributing food in NYC since 2006. He is a fungal enthusiast, amateur forager, father, and appreciator of the power of food to bring people together. Eric has worked at several restaurants in the Midwest and East Coast, catered large outdoor, grill-focused events, whole pig roasts, and weddings. He is thrilled to launch MycoDelights as an exciting new platform to showcase the diverse tastes and textures of the fungal world in a setting designed for sharing ideas and casual learning.
