Skirball Talks | Vital Voices: The Power of Women Leading Change Around the World

2020 marks a historic year for women in this country and around the world with the 100 year anniversary of the passage of the 19th Amendment and the 25 year anniversary of the historic United Nations Fourth World Conference on Women, the birthplace of the global movement for gender equality. The evening’s program, co-hosted with leading global women’s empowerment non-profit Vital Voices, will feature conversations with three extraordinary leaders from around the world who have been on the front lines of this movement. Although we have seen strides forward, progress has been slow. The World Economic Forum predicts it will take another 257 years at current rates of progress, for women to gain economic equality with men. The world can’t wait. The conversations will highlight how daring women leaders around the globe are pioneering innovative solutions to the world’s greatest challenges – from climate change to gender equality.

Featuring Jamira BurleyObiageli “Oby” Ezekwesili, and Leah Lizarondo. Moderated by Alyse Nelson.

Skirball Talks hosts visionaries from the worlds of politics, the arts, sciences, academia, and more. This event is free and open to the public.
