Valentina Kozlova International Ballet Competition

The Valentina Kozlova International Ballet Competition returns to the Kaye Playhouse with 5 days of events, April 8-12.  Over 200 exceptional dancers in Classical Ballet, Contemporary, and the new Free Style Dance, will compete for contracts with international dance companies and dance academies.  Classical ballet rounds will take place Monday & Tuesday, April 8 & 9, starting at 2 PM.  Wednesday, April 10 will be a special event: a full evening program, starting at 7 PM, of K’Arts Dance Company from Seoul, Korea.  The Competition returns on Thursday April 11 with contemporary, neo-classical, and free style dance.  Friday April 12 will see a Gala Performance starting at 7 PM, featuring a superb film of Valentina Kozlova’s 45 years of dancing in the West, along with performances of medalists.  The Gala will be followed by announcement of the 2024 winners in all categories.  Charles Jude, former etoile of the Paris Opera Ballet, returns to chair panels of distinguished dance figures from around the world.  Daily schedules are flexible, so for up to date information please visit www.vkibc.org
