Gregory Amenoff On His Work

Amenoff is a New York-based painter, and a recipient of numerous awards from organizations including the American Academy of Arts and Letters and the Guggenheim Foundation. With over fifty solo shows internationally, Amenoff ‘s work is in the permanent collections of more than thirty museums, including the Museum of Modern Art, NY, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art, NY. He served as the President, National Academy of Design, 2001-2005, and was a founding board member of CUE Art Foundation, NY, where he serves as Curator Governor. Amenoff has taught at Columbia University for twenty years, and is represented by the Alexandre Gallery, NY.
