Screening of the first episode in the series, “1960–John F. Kennedy vs. Richard Nixon.” Young and inexperienced, John F. Kennedy battles across America to win the Democratic Party’s nomination and, during the famous first television debate, proves how image, as much as substance, can win you the White House.
John Berman is the co-anchor of CNN’s morning show Early Start with Christine Romans and At This Hour with Kate Bolduan.
Professor Timothy Naftali is an associate clinical professor of history and public service at New York University and co-director of NYU’s Center for the United States and the Cold War. Prior to that, he was the founding director of the federal Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum.
