Join us for a special evening of conversation with two thrilling, original voices from Africa: Cameroonian novelist Patrice Nganang, author of Dog Days and winner of the Prix Littéraire Margurite Yourcenar and the Grand prix littéraire d’Afrique noir, and Kenyan Mukoma wa Ngugi, author of the groundbreaking noir series Nairobi Heat and Black Star Nairobi. Nganang will be launching his new novel, Mount Pleasant, a masterful tour-de-force of transformation in early twentieth-century Cameroon; while Ngugi will discuss his latest work, Mrs. Shaw, an explosive vision of love and exile that shifts between an imagined East African country and Madison, Wisconsin.
