Finger-Painting a Crisis: Conversations on Child Care

Please join us for a teach-in on the current child care crisis. #PrioritizeChildCare is facilitating a conversation between community members, field stakeholders, and activists to collectivize and imagine solutions to the problems facing child care in New York City.

We will screen a segment from the documentary series The Raising of America, host a collective finger-painting exercise, and build a discussion from the following topics:

• Reflection on personal child care experiences, both from childhood and parental perspectives.
• Examine the current state of child care in the United States. Who has access to care services?
• Next steps — current organizing and policy efforts, alternative solutions
