The Buglisi Dance Theatre will appear June 7 (8 PM) and June 8 & 9 (7:30 PM) at the Ailey Citigroup Theater, 405 West 55 Street (at Ninth Avenue), with a world premire by Jacqulyn Buglisi and company favorites, including Requiem to Faure’s soaring mass; Sand to the brilliant string quartet by Phillip Glass; and Suite: Solos & Duets that includes the rapturous duet Sospiri. Programs will feature a special performance by Christine Dakin with pianist Brian Zeger. The Opening Night Gala will honor Terese Capucilli with a performance of Martha Graham’s Deep Song by guest artist Blakeley White-McGuire. Buglisi, Dakin and Capucilli were all principal dancers with the Martha Graham Dance Company.
