Photoville: An Exclusive Conversation with Donna Ferrato and Paul Moakley
Donna Ferrato is a women’s rights activist and internationally acclaimed photojournalist, best known for her groundbreaking documentation of domestic violence. Her work is rooted in New York City, where Ferrato moved to in 1979 to photograph the heady nightclub culture of the late ’70s and early ’80s. Ferrato’s most recent project celebrates the spirit and evolution of TriBeCa. In this conversation, Ferrato will sit down with Paul Moakley, Deputy Director of Photography and Visual Enterprise at TIME Magazine, to walk through some of her most eye-opening work and share the stories behind her images.
Photoville is located in Brooklyn Bridge Plaza, on the corners of Water Street and New Dock Street. It is directly underneath the Brooklyn Bridge in DUMBO and is bordered by Jane’s Carousel and St. Ann’s Warehouse.
