Ethics and the Theater will present a play reading of Dinner with Friends by Donald Margulies
Karen and Gabe seem an ideal couple, playing off one another with perfect comic timing, partnering in the kitchen on gourmet meals. They often share these with their best friends, Tom and Beth, whose marriage they assume to be as harmonious as their own. The revelation that this is not so not only strains their friendship but also causes the characters to question how well they knew each other and themselves.
Come at 6:30pm for a reception and after the reading participate in a discussion of the ethical issues of the play led by Betsy Ungar.
