This performance by the esteemed Aesthetic Realism Theatre Company includes a dramatic presentation of poet and critic Eli Siegel’s magnificent 1950 lecture “Strindberg: Fierce & Loving”—with many scenes from Strind­berg’s riveting 1887 play about love and marriage.

It will also feature “Poems about Love” by Eli Siegel. Real love is good will, which, he explained, is “the desire to have something else stronger and more beauti­ful, for this desire makes oneself stronger and more beautiful.” And it is good will which this event shows men and women are aching to have, and can have!
