The Spring Lunch: Science, Society, and our Environment
Wednesday, April 26, Noon-2pm
$250-$15,000 (See amnh.org/SpringLunch for more details)
The Spring Lunch will continue the rich legacy of the Museum’s Environmental Lecture and Luncheon, with a focus on the critical scientific issues and topics explored in the Museum’s latest research.
In a changing climate, how do we prepare and adapt? Join us for a conversation with experts who are working at the frontiers of climate research to build a vision for a sustainable and resilient future. This dynamic roundtable discussion with Lynn Sherr (ABC News’ “20/20”), Robert Freudenberg (Vice President of Energy and Environmental Programs, Regional Plan Association), Kate Gordon (Senior Advisor, Paulson Institute), and Eleanor J. Sterling (Chief Conservation Scientist, AMNH Center for Biodiversity & Conservation) will explore challenges and opportunities from local to global perspectives, and will focus on large-scale efforts to mitigate the impacts of climate change. Held in the stunning Milstein Hall of Ocean Life, this event will also feature ample time for guests to exchange ideas and mingle.
All proceeds from The Spring Lunch: Science, Society, and Our Environment support the Museum’s scientific research and educational initiatives, including important work in biodiversity conservation.
