Please join us for the trial of a lifetime as Break A Leg Productions presents the return of the sold-out hit reading of The Brother, a play about Julius and Ethel Rosenburg, who were charged and executed for espionage at the height of the Red Scare in 1953. This daring play is based off of New York Times columnist Sam Roberts’s book of the same name and centers of Ethel’s brother David Greenglass, decades after his testimony that imprisoned his sister.
Break A Leg Productions is proud to present this bold play 2 years once more after its sold-out smash run as part of our Historically Speaking Reading Series. The cast features Bruce Barton, Michael Basile, Teri Black, Colin Dwyer, Michael Edmund, Kevin Hauver, Eric Kuzmuk, Richard Litt, Elisa London, John Quilty, Susan Richard, Stewart Schneck, and Wendy Scott.
This staged reading will take place on Wednesday, May 31st @ 6:30 pm. The reading is located at the Mid-Manhattan Library, 455 Fifth Avenue (40th Street), 6th Floor. This will be the LAST event at the Mid-Manhattan Library before it closes down for renovations! Seating is based on a first come, first served basis. Please join us a talkback with Sam Roberts of the New York Times following the performance.
