The Trinity Movement Choir will perform “Reconciliation,” an experience dance piece observing the loss and heroism of 9/11, on Sunday, September 10th at 1 P.M. at St. Paul’s Chapel (Broadway and Fulton Street). Interacting with the audience, the dancers will evoke the route from agony and numbness back to life, through openness to love that breaks the chain of revenge and injury.
Reconciliation was first performed at St. Paul’s Chapel on the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. The dance, with music by Jeff Repella, is directed by Marilyn Green.
Directly across from the World Trade Center, St. Paul’s Chapel, part of the Episcopal parish of Trinity Church Wall Street, survived the attacks with little damage. In keeping with its centuries-old ministry of healing, for nearly a year after the buildings fell “the little chapel that stood” served as a relief mission for the rescue and recovery workers at Ground Zero.
This event is free and open to the public.
