Samaritan Daytop Community Festival

Now in its 23rd year, the Samaritan Daytop Community Festival will take place on 8th Avenue from 42nd to 55th streets on Saturday, September 16th from 10 AM – 6 PM.  Attended by neighborhood residents, families, local business people and visitors, the annual street fair celebrates wellness and recovery – a life free from substance abuse — and features food, arts and crafts, jewelry and other items for sale.  This year marks the return of the kid-favorite stuffed animal booth, offering a wide variety of inexpensive and cuddly toys for sale. Free blood pressure and other health screenings will be provided by Damian Family Care Centers.  Samaritan Daytop Village staff and members of the Samaritan Daytop Family Association, as well as partner recovery groups and alumni associations, will be on hand to discuss the importance of treatment and recovery.
