The tenets of Islam and Judaism are extremely close, in both language, imagery, and ancestry. This closeness is particularly pronounced in the similarity between their mystical teachings—how both religions describe the indescribable oneness of God. Igal Harmelin is a spiritual director, meditation teacher and seeker. Much of his time during his 40-plus years of committed spiritual search has been devoted to the study of the scriptures and mystical traditions of the world’s major religions.
