DESCRIPTION:

Fake news is a pervasive threat to democratic processes and the global economy dependent on digital platforms. The problem of fake news requires a multi-disciplinary approach to define, quantify, and propose solutions to the disruptive effects of this worldwide phenomenon on journalism, political movements and transnational cybercrime. Join CUNY for an evening of expert presentations and moderated panel discussion on where the research stands and how we might work together to amplify the deep-truth world over the post-truth alternative.
