Mark DeGarmo Dance honors Miss America 2019, Nia Imani Franklin, with its Arts Education Advocate Award at its annual fundraising gala Dance for Dance on April 17th.   Ms. Franklin is a classically trained singer and a staunch supporter of the arts and arts education. She will also perform at the gala evening, which includes a silent auction, a student dance performance, and more.  Emcee is standup comedian/writer/actor Nat Towsen. At the Lower Eastside Girls Club, 402 E 8th St. (bet. Avenues C and D).
