The world is flat. The idea may seem ludicrous in an era of satellites, space stations and modern science, but over the last few years, a growing community has emerged known as Flat Earthers. This group rejects the very notion of a spherical planet, and they’re not joking or orchestrating an elaborate hoax. They’re serious.
Behind the Curve provides a peek into the world of Flat Earthers. In the film, proponents share their reasoning and discuss their experimental approaches to proving their world view. Scientists and professional science communicators, including astronaut Scott Kelly, give their take on the flat Earth conspiracy and discuss the current scientific views on conspiracies and the possible consequences of a lack of critical thinking in society.
The film was directed by Daniel J. Clark, produced by Caroline Clark and produced and edited by Nick Andert.
