The Landscape I Can’t Unsee
February 13- March 14 Opening reception for Jeff Koons’ protege. Meet Dionisios Fragias on February 13th, 6pm.
His free-standing sculptures, hybrids made of paintings/wall-sculptures and other diverse-media works connect our past to the present. In his latest series, _Emergency Inspiration_, the artist expands on certain questions that are at the core of art-making: How do artists respond in times of uncertainty? How can we gain a better personal understanding of a crises old and new, real or fabricated throughout daily practices? Several of the new works come together in the current exhibition titled, **The Landscape I Can’t Unsee**, the artworks mine a mixture of imagery that is taken from historical archives and contemporary digital databases. Memes and familiar iconographies are re-drawn and stylized in a collective manner that invite’s one to contemplate certain prescient issues that we constantly face.
