Author and creative consultant Susan Shapiro Barash presents Toxic Relationships: Friends and Family Ties through the Stages of Life, sponsored by MMC’s Institute for Professional and Advanced Study.
Whatever phase of life we are in—from college student to grandparent—our fast-paced society holds us to intense, demanding schedules. In the balance of our careers, education, and love lives, we look to family and friends for solace and support in an unprecedented way. Yet at the same time, experience shows us the ambivalence and complexity of these bonds. By viewing our expectations and the expectations of others in a new light, we will find better ways to heal wounds, improve situations, and establish criteria for success. Join Susan Shapiro Barash for this interactive session on dealing with your own toxic relationships.
Marymount Manhattan College is located at 221 East 71st Street, Manhattan. This event is in the Regina Peruggi Room.
