FRI MAR 06 | Exploring the Art of the Podcast

Featuring leading voices in the audio movement including The Daily’s Michael Barbaro & Theo Balcolmb in conversation with Nick Quah, a live story from 99% Invisible producer Avery Trufelman, a sneak preview of the newest project from WNYC Studios featuring Rebecca Carroll and Wesley Lowery, a preview of podcasting’s future from Flash Forward creator Rose Eveleth, an election 2020 outlook from Brian Lehrer (WNYC), Shaun King (The Breakdown) and Emily Bazelon (Slate Political Gabfest), an interactive crime story by Zac Stuart-Pontier (Crimetown), and more. Join us in the evening for happy hour and music in Wythe Hotel’s rooftop lounge.

SAT MAR 07 | Where Music Meets Storytelling

A multi-dimensional day of performances and conversations looking at the creative lives and inspiring stories behind the music. Sit in on an intimate conversation between Talib Kweli & John Forté, hear dispatches from Dolly Parton’s America, Soundcheck with John Schaefer is live with musician Theo Bleckmann, take in performances of radio tales from The Truth and Twenty Thousand Hertz and more. Saturday’s programming kicks off with a networking breakfast courtesy of Stitcher featuring Freakonomics’ Alison Craiglow and Stitcher’s Chris Bannon and join us in the evening for happy hour and music.

SUN MAR 08 | The Experience of Sound

This American Life’s Ira Glass will receive the inaugural Audio Vanguard Award and be interviewed by Debbie Millman for Design Matters, witness the power of spiritual inquiry at a live taping of On Being with Krista Tippett featuring Ocean Vuong, take an audio odyssey with The Paris Review featuring poet Vijay Seshadri, actor Quincy Tyler Bernstine and a live score, Lost Notes (KCRW) comes to life with poet Hanif Abdurraqib and The Mixtape Museum. Sunday’s programming includes a catered breakfast with Netflix, a cocktail hour DJ’d by Stretch Armstrong, and access to an all-day creator suite powered by Adobe and more.
