In the Studio with Gina Adams

Join Gina Adams for a tour through her studio and a discussion of how she creates her Broken Treaty Quilts, one of which is featured in our special exhibition Climate in Crisis: Environmental Change in the Indigenous Americas. Gina Adams is a descendant of both indigenous (Ojibwe) and colonial Americans. Her cross-media, hybrid work spans sculpture, ceramics, painting, printmaking, drawing, and large-scale quilts, which reuse and restructure antique quilts to include words from broken treaties between the United States and Native American tribes.
